The resulting exhibition lit up Carp Street during the 2025 Bega Streetlight Festival and beyond! Following the huge success of the first Streetlight Festival in October of 2025, the 2026 event has been pulled forward to before daylight savings kicks in on September 25th. Also being darker earlier the lights and projections will shine even brighter. I’ve worked with Screen Canberra as a Developer for their Screen POD program, and I currently serve as Secretary of Far South Film and Media Officer for the Far South Film Festival (FSFF) , which is the only film festival that elevates Australian regional and rural-based filmmakers. I’ve starred in and produced short and feature films, and have also worked as a Production Coordinator and Assistant Producer on numerous short films, documentaries and commercials. I was 3rd AD for the Cannes World Film Festival–winning feature Mother Mountain , and I’m currently in post-production with my regionally made film, Little Jetty . I have an exciting slate of projects that have attracted interest both in Australia and overseas, including Squishy Taylor — an animated series based on the bestselling Australian children’s books that have sold in the US, UK, Spain, Turkey and Brazil. Squishy Taylor will be my first international co-production . I began my career at C31 , working as a shooter-producer and journalist for the nightly news. After leaving C31, I worked for Auspicious Arts as a Financial Administrator, auspicing grants for clients including Circus Oz , Strange Fruit , Australian National Academy of Music , Gasworks Arts Park , Ilbijerri Theatre Co , and Melbourne Theatre Company . I’m also a freelance writer , with work published in Screen Hub , InTheMix , Live Loud Mag , and Rural Room . South East Arts facilitated EOIs from artists to design a high-impact artwork for our new waste trucks that celebrates creativity + sustainability. The final design by Belinda Rosenbaum reflects our regions natural beauty; The 4Rs — Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle; and bold, optimistic message about waste and sustainability. Silas made his home on the far south east coast 15 years ago and now part owns and runs a wealth management business. Silas enjoys the splendours of nature and the cultural artistic endeavours of the region. Silas enjoys volunteering his professional skills to local organisations. His interests lie in good governance, transparency, organisational continuity, strategic planning and supporting the development of regional cultural tourism through a well supported arts community.

She brings extensive leadership experience across government and the arts, including senior roles in major cultural events such as the Garma Festival in Northeast Arnhem Land. Kate is passionate about placemaking and the power of the arts to build vibrant, connected communities. She has led projects of all scales, from large cultural festivals to local grassroots initiatives, always with a focus on fostering collaboration, cultural exchange and community identity. Her work is grounded in the belief that arts and culture are central to regional vitality and to creating meaningful opportunities for people to come together.
