Dr Caren Florance is a visual artist and author whose practice centres upon textual play and creative publishing. She works with handset letterpress and other analogue processes, using found texts or creating original texts by mining media, institutional archives and out-of-print literature for inspiration, often in collaboration with other writers and artists. Her artist books and letterpress works have been exhibited widely and are represented in institutions throughout Australia and overseas. She also does book design & layout, often for other creatives and academics.
