South East Arts facilitated EOIs from artists to design a high-impact artwork for our new waste trucks that celebrates creativity + sustainability. The final design by Belinda Rosenbaum reflects our regions natural beauty; The 4Rs — Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle; and bold, optimistic message about waste and sustainability. The resulting exhibition lit up Carp Street during the 2025 Bega Streetlight Festival and beyond! Following the huge success of the first Streetlight Festival in October of 2025, the 2026 event has been pulled forward to before daylight savings kicks in on September 25th. Also being darker earlier the lights and projections will shine even brighter.
