2026 Bega Streetlight Festival

Let’s Light up Bega’s Streets on Friday 25 September 2026!

Bega Streetlight Festival will once again bring together food, music, art and interactive experiences in a celebration that reflects the spirit and creativity of the Bega Valley. This annual Street Festival will be held this year from 5pm on Friday, 25 September 2026. This illuminated evening brings our townsfolk out into the streets to celebrate creativity and community:

Bega Streetlight Photography Prize is now open!

Entries close 5pm, 24 August 2026

South East Arts will once again be running the hugely popular photography competition.  The theme for this years Photography Competition is "A Snapshot of Belonging".

20 finalist photos will win $400 each and be included in the Bega Streetlight Festival  Photography Exhibition throughout Carp Street shopfronts.

There will also be a pop-up exhibition during the festival for all shortlisted photos and a People's Choice Award will be announced on the night.

Entries are now open and will close at 5pm, Monday 24th August, 2026.  Entry is free. T&Cs can be found on the entry form.

Bega Streetlight Poetry Prize

The  Bega Streetlight Poetry Prize will be hosted by Candelo Books on Carp Street during the festival.  Poets will be invited to submit poems reflecting on "Belonging" in the Bega Valley.

The Poetry Prize will be open for submissions in late August.  Keep an eye on South East Arts socials for more details to come.
