2026 Bega Streetlight Photo Exhibition - now open!

The Bega Streetlight Festival brings together food, music, art and interactive experiences in a celebration that reflects the spirit and creativity of the Bega Valley. This illuminated evening brings our townsfolk out into the streets to celebrate creativity and community.
Submit your Snapshot of Belonging for a chance to be in the exhibition!
Everybody is invited to participate: all ages and all abilities
South East Arts will once again be running the hugely popular shopfront window photography exhibition. The theme for this years Photography Exhibition is "A Snapshot of Belonging". 20 finalist photos will be paid $400 each and be included in the Bega Streetlight Festival Photography Exhibition throughout Carp Street shopfronts.
There will also be a pop-up exhibition during the festival for all shortlisted photos and a People's Choice Award will be announced on the night.
Entries are now open and will close at 5pm, Monday 24th August, 2026. Entry is free. T&Cs can be found on the entry form.
2026 Bega Streetlight Poetry
The Poetry Event will be open for submissions on 26 August 2026. Bega Streetlight Poetry will be hosted by Candelo Books on Carp Street during the festival. Poets will be invited to submit poems reflecting on "Belonging" in the Bega Valley.
