I’ve worked with Screen Canberra as a Developer for their Screen POD program, and I currently serve as Secretary of Far South Film and Media Officer for the Far South Film Festival (FSFF) , which is the only film festival that elevates Australian regional and rural-based filmmakers. I’ve starred in and produced short and feature films, and have also worked as a Production Coordinator and Assistant Producer on numerous short films, documentaries and commercials. I was 3rd AD for the Cannes World Film Festival–winning feature Mother Mountain , and I’m currently in post-production with my regionally made film, Little Jetty . I have an exciting slate of projects that have attracted interest both in Australia and overseas, including Squishy Taylor — an animated series based on the bestselling Australian children’s books that have sold in the US, UK, Spain, Turkey and Brazil. Squishy Taylor will be my first international co-production . I began my career at C31 , working as a shooter-producer and journalist for the nightly news. After leaving C31, I worked for Auspicious Arts as a Financial Administrator, auspicing grants for clients including Circus Oz , Strange Fruit , Australian National Academy of Music , Gasworks Arts Park , Ilbijerri Theatre Co , and Melbourne Theatre Company . I’m also a freelance writer , with work published in Screen Hub , InTheMix , Live Loud Mag , and Rural Room . It was founded in 2025 and is based on the Far South Coast. We aim to promote baroque and early music in regional NSW, with occasional concerts interstate. We use existing editions, as well as in-house editions of repertoire that isn't readily available. He currently work as the Marketing and Administration Manager at Arts on Tour. As a freelancer, he creates text-based theatre works, often exploring queer life, regional living, history, and themes of coming of age. Most recently, he's been working on a three-hander play called 'The Queen's City of the South', which is inspired by the history of the Cooma Gaol and its use as a 'gay prison' from 1957-1984. Arts + Culture Across SOUTH EAST NSW Bega Streetlight Festival The annual Bega Streetlight Festival will be held this year from 5pm on Friday, 25 September 2026. This illuminated evening brings our townsfolk out into the streets to celebrate creativity and community, and will once again bring together food, music, art and interactive experiences in a celebration that reflects the spirit and creativity of the Bega Valley. The Bega Streetlight Festival is proudly funded by the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, led by Transport for NSW. This event is a collaboration between Bega Valley Shire Council, Bega Chamber of Commerce and South East Arts. Follow Bega Streetlight Festival on socials Bega Streetlight Poetry Event Finalist readings @ Candelo Books, Friday 25 September 2026 As a part of the Festival, South East Arts in Partnership with Candelo Books will once again be running the delightful Bega Streetlight Poetry Event. The theme for 2026 is "A Snapshot of Belonging". Poets of all ages and experience levels are invited to submit an original poem inspired by the theme "A Snapshot of Belonging". Whether it's a place, a moment, a community, a person, or a feeling – we want to hear your reflections on what belonging means in the Bega Valley Shire. Finalists will perform their poems live at Candelo Books during the Bega Streetlight Festival on the evening of Friday 25 September. There are two categories: 14 & Under 15 & over Awards: Category winners receive a $150 Candelo Books giftcard Category runners-up receive a $50 Candelo Books giftcard Entries are now closed 2026 Bega Streetlight Photo Exhibition As a part of the Festival, South East Arts will once again be facilitating the hugely popular Bega Streetlight Photography Exhibition. This year's theme is "A Snapshot of Belonging". Entries for the 2026 exhibition closed at 5pm, Monday 24th August. 20 finalist photos will be paid $400 each and be included in the Bega Streetlight Festival Photography Exhibition throughout Carp Street shopfronts. Finalists will be publicly announced in the days before the Bega Streetlight Festival.
