South East Arts (SEA) are seeking an Aboriginal Arts Officer. This is a short term part-time position until 30 June 2026.
SEA covers the Bega Valley, Eurobodalla and Snowy Monaro council areas, actively supporting the ongoing development of, and participation in, arts and culture throughout the NSW South East region.
The role of this position will be to:
Build and strengthen strategic engagement with Aboriginal visual artists within our region.
Explore and identify opportunities to enhance the development of viable Aboriginal creative enterprises and sustainable outlets, such as galleries, markets, and retail outlets.
Work in partnership with Local Aboriginal Lands Councils and appropriate organisations to support Aboriginal arts and cultural expression.
Assist with development of professional development workshops, arranging participants for workshops and logistics
Develop programming and strategies to amplify the Bundian Way Gallery, bringing fresh ideas to engage audiences and artists.
Support the First Nations exhibition at Spiral Gallery, including logistics, artist support, and event management.
Work with the SEA team to incubate and develop new projects, identifying funding opportunities and preparing grant applications.
